Last month, Pakistani singer Atif Aslam cancelled his concert in Leisure Valley, Gurgaon, due to non-payment of dues. He informed his fans about the cancellation on his Facebook page.
The singer was then scheduled to perform at the same venue on October 15, but it looks like his fans are in for another disappointment. On Wednesday evening,
the Gurgaon District Administration released a statement that read, "Considering the sentiments of armed forces/ soldiers at the frontier, the organizers are advised by the District Administration, Gurgaon, to defer the Atif Aslam concert."
While there were rumours that the regional wing of the Shiv Sena was instrumental in getting the first concert cancelled, this time, the advisory reportedly came after members of the Akhil Bhartiya Hindu Kranti Dal met Gurgaon deputy commissioner TL Satyaprakash, and asked him to cancel the event.
the organisers, people and the administration."
