The biopic of Team India cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni featuring Sushant Singh Rajput in the title role, Kiara Advani and Disha Patani as the leading ladies has been the biggest sports film of the year.
The film has recorded the 15th highest opening of all time, biggest ever for a sports biopic by collecting around Rs 20 crore on the day of its release. The collections are wonderful considering its non-holiday release. The film is expected to improve further during the weekend being the sole big release of the week. The film has also witnessed the second highest opening of the year with 'Sultan' being the first.
